Below is a video review of Altos Adventure, If you enjoy that and want to know more I’ve attached a written review as well below.
Remember Ski Free? If not it’s probably because you’re not in you 20’s and up. Ski free was a game that came installed on pc’s back in the early 2000’s and before, the basic premise was to ski as far as you could without hitting anything. You might be asking your self why I’m explaining a “old” game, well that’s because Altos Adventure is this days Ski Free.
You start off with a quick tutorial of how to play, it’s simple, tap the screen to jump, tap and hold to start/do a backflip. So what’s the premise? Well you are a Llama herdsman from what I can tell, and you guessed it they’ve escaped down the hill. Luckily for you though you have your trusty snowboard that I’m assuming was issued by the llama herdsman association. So you hop on your snowboard and down the hill you go. The premise of this game is to make it as far as you possibly can without hitting a rock or falling in a chasm. Of course you’re also looking to get as many llamas back by ramming through them, and collecting as many coins as well. Not sure what the coins do for you other than being able to buy back after crashing, but I have heard there is a store but it’s not something I looked into yet. Rocks are your worst enemy and they can come quick and in numbers the further down the hill you go. The nice feature the game does give you though is that after completing a trick you get a speed force field for a short period that allows you to smash through rocks!
Altos Adventure is for Android, IOS and Amazon the catch though? It is FREE on Android and Amazon, it however does cost $2.99 on IOS. Myself being on Android find the free price point perfect as I don’t find myself sucked in and spending a ton of time on it, but I do find it easy and fun to pick up and play when I have a spare few minutes.
