This week Tim splurged on a slightly expensive growler fill at the always well stocked NW Liquid Gold. 64 ounces of golden nectar in hand we began Episode 82, eagerly looking forward to the Tasty Treat break.
Dogfish Head 90 minute IPA is continuously hopped, allowing for a pungent — but not crushing — hop flavor. It is also dry hopped with a “Me So Hoppy” device during conditioning. With all these hops, you might expect a strong, bitter beer. We were surprised by how smooth and balanced it was, and almost sweet. From the brewer:
Esquire Magazine calls our 90 Minute IPA “perhaps the best IPA in America.” An imperial IPA best savored from a snifter, 90 Minute has a great malt backbone that stands up to the extreme hopping rate.
